postpartum meal prep by talia moore

I offer a personalized meal service carefully curated to meet your individual postpartum needs so that you can focus on recovery and bonding with your newborn.

This service is based on the idea that 'food is medicine' and is for those who want to receive functional, delicious foods & teas to promote postpartum recovery, nourishment and lactation support. I incorporate ingredients to address your individual needs (ie. organ meats to help re-fuel after blood loss).

*Offered in the San Francisco Bay Area only. Serving Palo Alto, Los Altos, Mountain View, Redwood City, San Mateo, San Francisco, Burlingame, Daly City, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Menlo Park, Millbrae, Mountain View, Pacifica, Redwood City, San Bruno, San Carlos, San Mateo, Sunnyvale, South San Francisco and all the towns in between.

Here are some examples of the meals I have created for clients. Each recipe is tailored to meet the nutritional and healing needs of new mothers:

high-quality nut & seed milks

  • Black sesame and almond milk (black sesame is an excellent galactagogue/lactation support)
  • Cashew and hemp milk (strength building, extra protein and essential fatty acids)

sweet lactation treats for midnight snacks

  • Pecan and mulberry bars
  • Almond and plum midnight snacking cake

herbal infusions

  • Newborn mother’s chai with candied ginger
  • Fennel & Nettle lactation support tea

bone broths

  • Shiitake, Reishi & Kombu sipping broth
  • Sea bass bone broth with aromatics

warming meals

  • Braised beef with figs and butter beans, side of quinoa
  • Chard & chickpea soup

I typically drop off the first delivery of food 2 weeks before your due date, so that you have the basics on hand as soon as your baby arrives. And then after your birth you will receive an intake form which will inform the next delivery.
